1 historical place in Murray, Utah.
Bergertown grew from the farm of Swiss immigrant Christian Berger into a working-class immigrant neighborhood beside Murray's railroads and smelters. Scandinavian immigrants and other laborers lived in modest homes here, worked in the industries that transformed Murray, and built a distinctive religious and cultural community whose 1907 meetinghouse still survives.
