Yes. Free events use the same checkout flow with a dedicated free-registration system. Free tickets are completely free — no booking fee, no per-ticket charge. QR tickets, check-in, and reporting are all included.

Can multiple team members help manage an event?

Yes. Invite team members with one of five roles: Owner, Admin, Manager, Editor, or Check-In Staff. Each role has specific permissions for managing events, orders, attendees, and check-in.

How do I get started?

Click Start Selling Tickets, create your organizer profile, and submit for review. After approval, you'll set up ticket selling and create your first event. The whole process takes a few minutes to start.

How do I get paid for ticket sales?

Payments are processed through Stripe Connect. Paid-ticket organizers complete Stripe onboarding (identity and bank account verification) before selling. Ticket revenue is then paid out to your connected bank account through Stripe's payout process. Free events don't require Stripe.

Do I need Stripe to sell tickets?

Only for paid events. Free events and free registrations don't require Stripe at all — you can start issuing free tickets immediately after approval. For paid events, Stripe Connect setup is required so you can receive payouts.

Can I use Side Quest for a fundraiser?

Yes. Fundraisers work the same as any other event — create ticket types, sell tickets, and check guests in. You can offer free or paid tickets, and use promo codes if needed.

Can multiple people check guests in at the same time?

Yes. Multiple staff members can open the Check-In Pro tool on their own phones simultaneously. All check-ins sync in real time across devices, and duplicate scans are blocked server-side so the same ticket can't be admitted twice.

Can attendees transfer their tickets to someone else?

Yes. Ticket holders can transfer their admission to another person. When a transfer is accepted, the QR code is rotated — the old ticket becomes invalid and a new one is issued to the recipient. The original purchaser retains refund authority.

Do I need an organizer account to sell tickets?

Yes. You create an organizer profile, get approved by Side Quest, and then set up ticket selling. This keeps the platform trusted. If you just want to list an event without selling tickets, you can use the Submit Event form instead.

How long does organizer approval take?

Approval times vary based on review volume. You'll be notified by email when your profile is reviewed and approved. Once approved, you can start setting up ticket selling immediately.

Can I use another ticketing provider?

Yes. Side Quest event listings can support external ticketing links. If you already use another ticketing platform, you can list your event on Side Quest and link to your existing checkout. You can also switch to Side Quest native ticketing at any time.
